Alexandra Cope was born on September 17, 1993. She trained at Lehigh Valley Sports Association until the spring of 2008. She then followed her coach, Natalia Yurchenko, to Parkettes. Alexandra will graduate from Parkland High School in 2012.

In 2003, Alexandra competed level six. She won vault, floor and the all-around at the Friendship Classic. At the State Championships, she finished second on vault and fifth all-around. She moved up to level seven in 2004. At the Friendship Classic, she finished third all-around. Alexandra placed fifth out of 39 competitors at the State Championships. She advanced to level eight in 2005. At the I Love NY Cup, she won floor.

Alexandra competed level nine in 2006. She finished second on floor at the AOGC Invitational. She competed at States and Regionals. In 2007, she reached level ten. She finished third all-around at the Scarlet Cup. Alexandra finished second all-around in 2008 at the Scarlet Cup. She placed fifth all-around at States. In December, she finished second all-around at the Christmas on the Chesapeake meet. In January of 2009, she won beam and the all-around at the Brestyan Invitational. She finished fourth all-around and third on beam at States. At Regionals, she finished 16th all-around.

She continued competing level ten in 2010. She finished third all-around at the Magical Classic. Alexandra won vault, beam and the all-around at the Excalibur Cup. She finished fifth all-around at the State Championships. She placed sixth all-around at Regionals. Alexandra ended her season at JO Nationals. In 2011, she won floor and the all-around at the Parkette Invitational. She placed first on floor at the Excalibur Cup. She finished first on floor at the Pink Invitational. At the State Championships, she finished first on floor and third all-around. Alexandra placed second on floor and fourth all-around at Regionals. She competed at JO Nationals.
