Elena Corcoran was born on November 9, 1993. She trains at X-Cel Gymnastics. She will graduate from high school in 2011 and will attend George Washington University on a full gymnastics scholarship.

In 2003, Elena competed level five. She qualified to the State Championships. Elena moved up to level six in 2004. She won floor at the March Madness. She placed second on bars at Sectionals. She competed at the State Championships. Elena moved up to level seven in 2005. She won beam at the Parkette Invitational. She finished second all-around at Sectionals. At the State Championships, Elena finished third all-around. Elena competed level eight in 2006. She won beam at the Twistars Invitational and Parkette Invitational. At the Niagara Cup, Elena won floor and the all-around. She won floor at Sectionals. At the State Championships, she placed first on vault. Elena competed at Regionals.

Elena competed level nine in 2007. She finished third on beam at the Twistars Invitational. She placed second on beam and floor at the Parkette Invitational. She won floor at the Niagara Cup. At Regionals, Elena finished first on floor and sixth all-around. She finished eleventh all-around at Easterns. Elena began competing level ten in 2008. She finished third all-around at the Capital Cup. She placed second on beam at the Buckeye Classic. Elena qualified to Regionals. In December, she won floor at the Christmas on the Chesapeake meet. She missed most of the 2009 season due to injury. In 2010, Elena came back mid-season after surgery. She competed at Regionals as an event specialist on vault and floor. She won floor at the Christmas on the Chesapeake meet in December. In 2011, Elena won vault at the Stars & Stripes Invitational. She placed third on vault at the Parkette Invitational with a career high of 9.675. At the Tim Rand Invitational, she placed second on beam and third on vault. She finished second on vault, beam and floor at the Buckeye Classic. Elena placed second on beam at the State Championships. She qualified for Regionals on vault and beam.
