Courtney Thompson was born on July 21, 1994. She trained at Gymnastics Village in New Hampshire through the 2005 season. She then moved to Brestyan's Gymnastics. Courtney began training at Atlantic Gymnastics Training Center in the fall of 2010. She will graduate from high school in 2012.

In 2005, Courtney competed level nine. She finished in the top twenty five at Regionals. She missed the 2006 season due to an elbow injury. In 2007, Courtney returned to level nine competition. She moved up to level ten in 2009. She finished fourth on beam at the Parkette Invitational. At Regionals, she finished in the top twenty all-around. In 2010, Courtney placed in the top ten at the State Championships. She finished in the top fifteen at Regionals.

Courtney finished third on beam and fourth all-around at the 2011 State Championships. She placed fourth on beam and sixth all-around at Regionals. Courtney competed at JO Nationals.
