Jade Cottrell was born on May 18, 1996. She trained at Metropolitan Gymnastics through the 2007 season. She then moved to Auburn. Jade will graduate in 2014.
In 2005, Jade competed level four. She finished fourth on vault at the Pajama Classic. She moved up to level five in 2006. She finished fourth on vault at the All American Invitational. She placed in the top fifteen at the State Championships. She competed level seven in 2007. She finished in the top ten at the Vegas Cup. In 2008, Jade continued competing level seven. She won vault and floor at the National Judges Cup. At the State Championships, Jade placed first on floor and in the all-around.
She moved up to up to level eight in 2009. She won floor at the Crystal Cup. She only competed on bars at the State Championships. She placed fourth on bars at Regionals. Jade returned to all-around competition in 2010 as a level nine. She finished second on vault at the National Judges Cup. At the All American Invitational, she won floor. She won bars at the State Championships. At Regionals, Jade won vault, floor and the all-around. She placed third on bars and in the all-around at Westerns.
