Rachel Craft was born on April 7, 1998. She trained at Diablo Gymnastics in Northern California until 2007. She then moved to All Olympia Gymnastics Center. Rachel began training at Platinum Gymnastics after the 2009 season.

In 2006, Rachel competed level five. She finished second on vault and floor at the Tumble in the Jungle meet. She finished first all-around at the High-Tech Invitational. Rachel finished first on bars at the Aloha Invitational. Rachel won vault and placed second all-around at the Zone Championships. At the State Championships, she finished third on vault. Rachel moved up to level six in the fall of 2007. She finished third all-around at the Judges Cup. She competed at the State Championships. In 2008, Rachel placed first on bars at the Judges Cup. At the 2nd Prelim, she won bars, beam and the all-around. Rachel placed first on bars and the all-around at Sectionals. At the State Championships, she placed second on bars and floor.

Rachel began competing level seven in 2009. She won the all-around title at the AOGC Invitational. She placed fourth all-around at the Byers Invitational. At the State Championships, she finished in the top ten. Rachel competed level eight in 2010. She finished second all-around at the San Diego Classic. At the Heart of a Champion Invitational, she won uneven bars. Rachel finished first on bars at the State Championships. She competed at Regionals.

Rachel began competing level nine in 2011. She finished second on vault at the Lady Luck Invitational. She won floor. At the LA CLassic, Rachel won vault, beam, floor and the all-around.
