Caroline Smith was born on November 10, 1995. She trains at Madtown Twisters. She will graduate from high school in 2014.

In 2006, Caroline competed level eight. She continued competing level eight in 2007. She won the all-around title at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished in the top fifteen all-around. Caroline moved up to level nine in 2008. She placed third on bars at the Harley Davidson Invite. She won bars at the State Championships. She finished second all-around. Caroline competed at Regionals. In 2009, she finished second on bars at the Wisconsin Dell Vacation Classic. She finished third on bars at the IGI Chicago Style. She finished fourth on bars at the State Championships. She placed in the top fifteen at Regionals.

Caroline continued competing level nine in 2010. She won bars at the Rising Stars Invitational. She finished fourth on bars at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished sixth all-around. Caroline competed at Westerns. In 2011, she finished second all-around at the Rising Stars Invitational. She won beam, floor and the all-around at the State Championships. She competed at Regionals.
