Courtney Turner was born on January 25, 1994. She trains at Gymnastics and More in South Carolina with the Ocean Flippers. She will graduate from high school in 2012.
In 2002, Courtney competed level four. She won bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the Beach Break meet. She steadily moved through the levels, reaching level seven in 2005. She won floor and the all-around at the State Championships. Courtney moved up to level eight in 2006. She qualified to Regionals. She began competing level nine in 2007. She competed at Regionals. Courtney finished third all-around at the Lake Murray Invite in 2008. She finished third all-around at the State Championships. She competed at Regionals.
Courtney began competing level ten in 2009. She finished first on bars at the Lake Murray Invite and Beach Break meet. At the State Championships, she placed first on beam and second all-around. Courtney competed at Regionals. In 2010, Courtney finished first on bars, floor and the all-around at the Tiger Paw Classic. She won floor at the Beach break meet. At the Gamecock Invite, she placed second all-around. Courtney finished sixth all-around at the State Championships. She did not compete on vault at Regionals.
In 2011, Courtney finished second all-around at the Sweetheart meet. At the Beach break, she won all five gold medals. Courtney finished third all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished sixth all-around. She competed at JO Nationals.
