Rachel Cutler was born on March 4, 1997. She trained at Cassell Gymnastics until the spring of 2005. She then moved to Gymnastiks Unlimited for one season. Rachel has trained at Gedderts' Twistars since the spring of 2007. She will graduate from high school in 2015.

In 2005, Rachel competed level seven. She won floor and placed second all-around at the Buckeye Classic. She finished seventh all-around at the State Championships. Rachel moved up to level six in 2007. She won floor and finished second all-around at the Tulip City Invitational. In 2008, Rachel won the all-around at the Twistars Invitational as a level six. She then competed level seven, finishing second all-around. At the For Love or Money meet, she won bars and finished third all-around. She then moved up to level eight. Rachel finished second all-around at the Motown Madness. She ended her season by winning bars at Regionals.

Rachel competed level nine in 2009. She won bars and the all-around at the Battle of the Champions. At the IGI Chicago Style, she won vault, bars, floor and the all-around. Rachel won the all-around at the Hard Rock Invitational. At the State Championships, she finished second on bars. Rachel ended her season at Regionals, finishing second on beam and seventh all-around. She competed level ten in the first half of the 2010 season. She placed second on floor at the Battle of the Champions and third on bars at the Twistars Invitational. She dropped back to level nine, winning bars and the all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, Rachel placed first on floor and second all-around. She ended her season at Easterns, finishing second on bars and fourth all-around.
