Courtney Elizabeth Walker was born in Tyler, Texas, on September 11, 1984. She trained at All Olympia Gymnastics Center and Broadway Gymnastics during her club career.
She competed as a level 9 in 1999 and 2000. Courtney made Westerns in 1999 but did not do very well. In 2000, she won the all-around at States. At Regionals, Courtney finished first all-around and on bars. She won the Western bars and all-around titles. Courtney competed level 10 in 2001. She won every event except for bars at states. She finished third all-around at regionals and qualified to the JO Nationals. At the 2002 Level 10 States Courtney was second all-around. She finished in the top seven at Regionals and made it to her second JO Nationals. Courtney was eighth all-around. Her senior year was great in 2003. At JO Nationals she finished second all-around.
From 2004 to 2006, she competed for UCLA. Courtney competed at the NCAA Super Six in 2005. She also competed in the all-around in 2005. Courtney retired in the 2006 season. She served as an undergraduate assistant coach following her retirement.
