Lacy Dagen was born on May 17, 1997. Her sister, Madison, is also a gymnast. Lacy trained at Bay Aerials until the fall of 2006. She then moved to Pacific West Gymnastics. She began training at San Mateo Gymnastics in the summer of 2011. She will graduate from high school in 2015.

In 2004, Lacy competed level five. She won bars and floor at the State Championships. She moved up to level six in 2005. She won beam and placed second all-around at the Judges Cup. She finished first on beam, floor and the all-around at the State Championships. At the San Diego Classic in 2006, Lacy won bars, beam, floor and the all-around. In the fall, she made the National TOPs Team. Lacy competed level seven in 2007. She made the NorCal National Judges Cup Team. She finished first on bars and floor. She placed second all-around. Lacy won beam, floor and the all-around at the Flips USA Invitational. She won beam and the all-around at the Golden State Classic. Lacy placed second all-around at the AOGC Invitational. She won the Spirit of the Flame Challenge and Roseville Invitational. At the State Championships, she won bars, beam, floor and the all-around. She made her second consecutive National TOPs Team in the fall.

Lacy moved up to level eight in 2008. She won beam and the all-around at the Roseville Invitational. She won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the Golden State Classic. At the State Championships, she placed second all-around. She won vault and beam. Lacy won the all-around title at Regionals! She began competing level nine in 2009. She won beam and the all-around at the Lady Luck Invitational. Lacy won vault, bars, beam and the all-around at the Wine Country Classic. At the Hard Rock Invitational, she won vault, beam and the all-around. Lacy won vault and the all-around at the Golden State Championships. She did not compete in the all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won vault and the all-around. She finished second on vault and tenth all-around at Westerns. In December, she was named to the National Team Training Squad.

She continued competing level nine in 2010. She won five gold medals at the Delta Classic with a 38.125. At the San Diego Classic, she won vault, beam, floor and the all-around. Lacy won vault, bars, beam and the all-around at the Battle in Seattle. She placed second all-around at the Golden State Classic. She won bars, beam and the all-around at the Byers Invitational. At the State Championships, she won vault, bars and the all-around. Lacy placed first on vault, bars, floor and the all-around at Regionals. At Westerns, she finished first on beam, floor and the all-around. She finished third on vault.

Lacy began competing level ten in 2011. She finished first on vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the Lady Luck Invitational. She won floor and the all-around at the National Gymnastics Festival. She placed third all-around at the Golden State Classic.
