Caitlin Daniels was born on July 23, 1988. She trains at Exper-Tiess Gymnastics. She graduated from Lawrence High School in 2004.

In 2001, Caitlin competed as a junior national elite. She finished fourth all-around at the US Challenge. Her final meet of the season was the National Gymnastics Festival in California. Caitlin finished 13th. She also qualified to the 2001 JO National Championships. She finished in the top ten on vault. In 2002, she continued competing as a junior national elite. At the American Challenge she finished third overall. Caitlin also had a good performance at the US Challenge. In 2004, she competed at the National Elite Podium Meet. Caitlin went to level ten in 2005. She finished in the top seven at Regionals which qualified her for JO Nationals. Caitlin competed high school gymnastics in 2005 and 2006. She suffered a sprained ankle in 2006 at the Atlanta Crown Invitational. She competed for the University of Bridgeport for one season.
