Dallas Smith was born on October 4, 1992. She trained at Naydenov Gymnastics during her club career. She graduated from high school in 2011.

In 2001, Dallas competed level seven. She moved up to level eight in 2002. She placed third on floor at Regionals. Dallas began competing level nine in 2003. She finished in the top ten at the Rainier Cup. In 2004, Dallas finished third all-around at the San Diego Classic. In 2005, she won floor at the Surf City Classic. She placed first on floor and second all-around at the State Championships. Dallas placed fourth all-around at Regionals. She competed at Westerns. Dallas began competing level ten in 2006. She finished fourth all-around at Regionals. She competed at JO Nationals.

Dallas finished in the top ten at the 2007 Lady Luck Invitational. She was the alternate for JO Nationals. In 2008, she placed sixth all-around at the State Championships. She finished eleventh all-around at Regionals. In 2009, Dallas finished second on floor at the Great West Gym Fest. She finished first on floor at Regionals. She competed at JO Nationals. Dallas placed third on vault at the 2010 State Championships. She also finished third on vault at Regionals. She competed at the JO National Invitational Tournament. In 2011, Dallas placed fourth all-around at the Battle in Seattle meet. She competed at the JO National Invitational Tournament.
