Bridget Dean was born on December 2, 1998. Bridget began gymnastics in 2006 at Venice YMCA. Bridget rapidly advanced through the levels at Gymnastics World from 2007 to 2009. During the spring of 2009, Bridget moved to Orlando Metro Gymnastics. She began training at Texas Dreams in September 2011.

She began competing as a level four in 2006. She easily advanced through winning a silver medal on vault at the Lightning City Invitational as a level six in 2007. She next competed level seven, finishing third all-around and first on beam at the Level 7 State Championships. In the fall, she made the National TOPs Team. Bridget competed level eight in 2008. She won the all-around at the Gasparilla Classic. At the State Championships, she won the all-around title! Bridget made the Florida Team that competed at Regionals. She made her second National TOPs Team in the fall.

Bridget competed level nine in early 2009. She won the all-around at the Princess Classic. In February, she earned her hopes pre-elite optional score at the Palm Beach Invitational. She continued to compete in the Junior Olympic program, advancing to level ten. She placed third on vault and floor at the Tampa Bay Turners Invitational. Bridget placed in the top ten at the Level 10 State Championships. In June, she qualified to junior pre-elite. Bridget finished third overall, first on floor and second on balance beam at the US Challenge!

In 2010, Bridget started her season by placing second at the Tampa Bay Turners Invitational as a level ten. At her next meet, the Sand Dollar Invitational, she earned her junior international elite compulsory score. In June, she qualified to junior international elite. Bridget competed at the Covergirl Classic. Bridget competed as a junior international elite in 2011.
