Emily DeCesare was born on October 29, 1994. She trained at Aim High through the 2010 season. She then moved to New England Sports Academy. Emily will graduate from high school in 2013.
In 2006, Emily competed level six. She moved up to level seven in 2007. She finished third all-around at the State Championships. Emily competed level eight in 2009. She placed second on vault at the Brestyan invitational. She won floor and placed second all-around at the State Championships. She competed at Regionals. Emily moved up to level nine in 2010. She finished in the top ten at the Brestyan Invitational, Sand Dollar Invitational and Starlight Invitational. She finished second on vault and fourth all-around at the State Championships.
Emily continued competing level nine in 2011. She finished first on bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the I Love NY Cup. She won floor at the Presidential Classic. At the Starlight Invitational, she won beam, floor and the all-around. At the State Championships, she placed first on floor and second all-around. Emily won vault and placed third all-around at Regionals. At Easterns, she placed sixth on floor.
