Kayle DeFrancesco was born on August 14, 1993. She trains at SCEGA. She will graduate from high school in 2011.

In 2004, Kayla competed level seven. She immediately began competing level seven in 2005. She won vault at the California Classic and Friendship Challenge. At the State Championships, she placed second on vault. Kayla moved up to level eight in 2006. She finished second all-around at the California Classic. She won vault at the Golden State Friendship Challenge. At the State Championships, Kayla placed third on bars and in the all-around. At Regionals, she finished in the top ten.

Kayla continued competing level eight in 2007. She won vault at the Lady Luck Invitational and beam at the IGHOF Invitational. At the San Diego Classic, she won vault and placed second all-around. Kayla won vault and beam at the California Classic. At the Top Flight Invite, she won beam and the all-around. Kayla finished third on beam at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won vault and placed second all-around. She competed level nine in 2008. She finished second all-around at the Surf City Classic. She finished second all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished first all-around! She placed third on bars and beam. She ended her season at Westerns.

She began competing level ten in 2009. She finished first on floor and third all-around at the San Diego Classic. Kayla won beam at the California Classic. At the State Championships, she placed in the top ten. She finished tenth all-around at Regionals. In 2010, Kayla finished second on floor at the California Classic. She won floor at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished second on floor.
