Lia Del Priore was born on November 20, 1992. She trained at Athletes in Motion until 2001. She then switched to Gym Gems in Praireieville, Louisiana. Lia competed for CS Gymnastics in Flanders, New Jersey, in 2004. She moved to Parkettes for the 2005 season.

In 2001, Lia competed as a level five. She finished second all-around at the Bengal's Invitational. By 2004, she was competing as a level eight. She finished fourth all-around at the Capital Cup.

Lia moved up to level nine in 2005. She finished second all-around and first on floor at the WOGA Classic. At the Friendship Classic, Lia placed first on every event except for vault. Lia won the vault state title. She finished third all-around. At Regionals, Lia won the all-around and beam titles! She ended her season at Easterns. She finished fourth all-around and third on vault and beam.

She began competing as a level ten in 2006. She finished second all-around at the Pancott Invitational and fourth all-around at the Parkette Invitational. Lia finished third all-around and first on vault at States. At Regionals, she placed second all-around and first on vault. Her final level ten meet of the season was JO Nationals. She finished third on vault! After the level ten season, Lia qualified to junior international elite. She competed at the US Classic. Lia has not competed much in 2007 because of an injury. She petitioned to junior international elite. She competed at the US Classic.

Lia returned to full health for the 2009 season. In December of 2008, she won bars, floor and the all-around at the Christmas on the Chesapeake meet. In January, she won bars, beam and the all-around at the Brestyan Invitational. She won vault, bars, beam and the all-around at the Maryland Classic. She finished second all-around at the Parkette Invitational with a 38.150. She won floor. Lia won beam, floor and the all-around at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. At the Friendship Classic, she won bars, beam, floor and the all-around. She won bars at States. She placed second all-around. Lia finished fourth all-around at Regionals. She placed third on bars. At JO Nationals, she fell on beam. However, she still placed in the top twenty all-around. She won a silver medal on floor and placed sixth on vault.

In 2010, Lia finished first on floor and the all-around at the Maryland Classic. She placed first on vault and floor at the Magical Classic. At the Excalibur Cup, Lia won vault, floor and the all-around. She placed second all-around at the Pink Invitational. Lia competed at the Nastia Liukin Cup. At the State Championships, she placed fourth all-around. She finished first on beam and second all-around at Regionals. As a freshman at Utah, Lia competed on vault and floor throughout the season. She earned a spot on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll and was also a MWC Scholar-Athlete.
