Lauren DeMeno was born on June 16, 1997. Her older sister, Brittanie, is also a gymnast. Lauren trains at American Gymnastics Academy in New Jersey. She will graduate from high school in 2015.

In 2008, Lauren competed level eight. She finished fourth on bars at the Hardrock Invitational. In 2009, she won vault and placed second all-around at the Classic for the Cure Invitational. At the Northeast Invite, she won bars and the all-around. Lauren placed second all-around at the Gasparilla Classic. At the State Championships, she finished third all-around. She placed in the top fifteen at Regionals.

Lauren began competing level nine in 2010. She finished second on bars at the Robin Cone Memorial Classic and I Love NY Cup. At the Yurchenko Invitational, she won vault, beam and the all-around. At the State Championships, she placed in the top twenty. She competed at Regionals. In 2011, Lauren finished first on vault at the Atlanta Crown Invitational. She finished fourth on vault at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed third on bars. She competed at Easterns.

Lauren began the 2011-2012 season in December at the Christmas on the Chesapeake meet as a level ten. She placed fourth on floor. Lauren represenedt Team USA in the 16 and under Maccabi PanAm Games in Sao Paolo, Brazil in December 2011. She helped the team to a first place finish in addition to placing second all-around and first on bars.
