Destiny Smith was born on March 14, 1995. She competed for Zero Gravity until 2004. She then began competing for Gymnastics Revolution.

In 2004, she competed as a level six. She competed at the Spring State Championships. Destiny moved up to level seven in 2005. She finished thirdall-around at the I Love NY Cup. She won vault and floor. Destiny finished second all-around at the Brestyan Invitational.

Destiny moved up to level eight in 2006. She finished third all-around at the I Love NY Cup. She won the vault title. At States, she placed sixth all-around! Destiny competed at Regionals.

She competed as a level nine in 2007. Destiny finished second all-around and first on vault at the I Love NY Cup. She then won the State vault title. She also finished third on floor and fourth all-around. Destiny ended her season at Regionals. Destiny continued competing as a level nine in 2008. She won the all-around title at States! She also won vault and finished second on bars, beam and floor. She finished in the top twenty at Regionals.

She moved up to level ten in 2009. She competed at the Bretyan Invitational and Parkettes Invitational in January. In February, she competed at the IGI Chicago Style. At States, she finished fourth all-around. She placed third on beam and floor. She finished seventh all-around at Regionals, qualifying for the JO National Championships. She finished her first level ten year at JO Nationals.
