Rachel DiCarlo was born on May 16, 1995. Her twin sister, Bethany, is also a gymnast. Rachel trained at Montgomery County Gymnastics until 2008. She then moved to Silvia's Gymnastics. She will graduate from high school in 2013.

In 2007, Rachel competed level five. She finished in the top ten all-around at the Pennsylvania Eastern Sectional. She moved up to level six in 2008. She competed at the Dave Moskovitz Invitational. In 2009, Rachel competed level seven. She finished third all-around at the Silvia Mitova Invitational. At the Capital Cup, Rachel won bars and the all-around. She finished sixth all-around at the Harford Trophy meet. She finished fourth on bars at the State Championships.

Rachel competed level eight during the 2009-2010 season. She finished first on beam and in the all-around at the Crown of the Carolinas meet. At the World Class Invitational, Rachel won vault, bars and the all-around. She won bars and floor in addition to finishing second all-around at the Silvia Mitova Invitational. At the John Pancott Invitational, Rachel won vault. She won bars, beam and the all-around at the Pink Invitational. At the State Championships, Rachel finished first all-around! At Regionals, Rachel finished second on floor and fifth all-around. Rachel began competing level nine in 2011.
