Mia Difrancesco was born on March 13, 1996. Both of her sisters, Alyssa and Natalie, are also gymnastics. Mia trained at KMC Gymnastics in Pennsylvania until 2008. She then moved to First State Gymnastics in Delaware. Mia began training at Prestige in 2011. She will graduate from high school in 2014.
In 2004, Mia competed as a level five. She won a silver medal in the all-around at the Friendship Classic. She won vault and floor. She competed as a level eight in 2006. She won the Nittany Classic. Mia also won beam and floor. She finished second on vault and bars. At States, she finished fourth all-around. She won a bronze medal on beam.
Mia moved up to level nine for the 2007 season. She won floor at the Christmas on the Chesapeake meet. At the Parkette Invitational, Mia won a silver medal on beam. She placed sixth all-around at the Gasparilla Classic. At States, Mia qualified to Regionals. She had a great routine on floor at Regionals, giving her a fourth place finish. She continued competing as a level nine for 2008. She finished first on vault, bars and beam at the Fall Frenzy. At the Barb Knothe meet, she swept the gold medals. Mia finished first on beam and second all-around at the Aquafina Team Challenge. At States, she finished second all-around. She won beam. Mia qualified to hopes pre-elite at the Parkette Invitational. At the Level 9 State Championships, she finished second all-around. She won beam. At Regionals, she finished third on beam and seventh all-around. She finished her level nine season at Easterns.
In late 2008, Mia won the First State Invitational as a level nine. She won bars, beam and the all-around. She then won vault, beam and the all-around titles at the Christmas on the Chesapeake Meet. At the Maryland Classic in January, she won bars and the all-around. She finished second on vault, beam and floor. She won vault, floor and the all-around at the Hardrock Invitational. At Regionals, she finished second on floor and third all-around. Mia ended her season at Easterns. She won bars and the all-around titles! She also placed second on vault and third on beam.
Mia began competing level ten in 2010. She placed second on vault and floor at the Cancun Classic. She only competed on floor at the Star Struck Invitational. At the East Coast Classic, she won vault, beam and the all-around. Mia also won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the Capital Cup. At Regionals, she placed in the top fifteen. In December, she won vault, beam and floor at the First State Gymnastics Invitational. She did not compete the rest of the 2010-2011 season.
