Annie Kaitlyn DiLuzio was born in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada, on September 28, 1988. She lived in California during her childhood with her parents, Nancy and John. She has an older brother named Anthony. He was a Teenage World Body Builder Champion. She began gymnastics in 1992. Annie trained at Technique Gymnastics until 2003 when she switched to Byers Sacramento. Annie is currently a freshman at the University of Utah.

In 2001, Annie competed as a level ten. At the Regional Championships, she placed ninth all-around. In 2002, she qualified to the JO National Championships. Annie improved greatly in 2003. She finished second all-around at States. She won vault, beam and floor. At Regionals, Annie placed first on floor and third on vault. Her final level ten meet was the JO National Championships. She finished first on floor and second on vault. Annie was eleventh in the all-around. In 2004, Annie placed second all-around at the Roseville Invitational. At the Pikes Peak Cup, she qualified to senior international elite. Annie won the Golden State Classic. Her first elite meet was the American Classic. She did better at the US Classic in May. Annie won vault and finished tenth all-around. This qualified her for the US National Championships. Annie ended her season at Nationals.

Annie had a great 2005 season. She won the Golden State Classic. She then was selected for the International Tri Meet Challenge in New York. She won vault. At the US Classic, Annie won vault and finished 11th all-around. At Nationals, she finished seventh all-around. This qualified her for the US National Team. In early 2006, she competed at several open invitationals. She won the Aloha Gym Fest, Golden State Classic, IGI Chicago Style and Spirit of the Flame Challenge.

As a freshman at Utah, she competed on vault fourteen times, beam six times and floor thirteen times. She made the NCAA Event Finals on vault. She placed second with a full twisting Yurchenko and a double twisting Yurchenko. She was a first-team All-American on vault. She was also an NACGC SCholastic All-American. She made the Dean's List and Athletics Academic Honor Roll. As a sophomore, she competed on vault fifteen times, beam eleven times and floor twelve times. She did not fall of season. She won three event titles. Annie also made the Athletic Director's Honor Roll. During her junior season, she vaulted thirteen times with her lowest score at a 9.825. She competed on beam in the early half of the season with five performances. She performed on floor twelve times. She won a share of the floor title at Regionals. She won vault against Arizona State and Florida. She won seven event titles during the season. She made the Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
