Emily Dombrowski was born on May 24, 1994. In 2004, she trained at Titans Gymnastics which is located in Kim's USA. She trained at Dallas Gymnastics Center from 2005 until 2006 when the optional coaches left. She then moved to Infinite Bounds for one year. Emily trained at Plano Unlimited Gymnastics before moving to Texas Dreams following the 2008 season. She will graduate from Marcus High School in 2012.

In 2005, Emily competed level seven. She finished fifth all-around at the WOGA Classic. At the State Championships, she placed second in the all-around and on uneven bars. She won floor. Emily moved up to level eight in 2006. She finished fourth on vault at Regionals. She continued competing level eight in 2007. At the Metroplex Challenge, she placed third on vault and floor. She won vault and finished third on bars at the WOGA Classic. At the Magical Classic, she won floor. She placed second on floor and third on vault at States. She ended her season by winning a bronze on vault at Regionals.

Emily moved up to level nine in 2008. She won beam and placed second on floor at the Yellow Rose Classic. She continued competing level nine in 2009. At the Metroplex Challenge, she finished fifth all-around. Emily finished fourth on floor at the WOGA Classic. She won a silver medal on floor at the National Gymnastics Challenge. At States, she finished fourth on bars and floor. She won the all-around at Regionals! She also won floor and placed second on bars. At Westerns, she finished in the top ten all-around. She placed fourth on bars.
