Kaitlin Dore was born on February 21, 1993. She trained at Cal West Gymnastics until 2004. She then moved to Bay Aerials Gymnastics until June 2010. She is now training with California Gymnastics Academy under Neal Gallant and Rod Radunzel.

In 2002, Kaitlin competed level five. She won floor at the Zone Championships. At the State Championships, she placed third on floor. Kaitlin moved up to level six in 2003. She finished second all-around at the Zone Championships. She moved up to level seven for the spring 2005 season. Kaitlin finished second all-around at the Bay Area Classic. She placed first on floor at the Flips USA Invitational and first on beam at the Golden State Classic. She won bars, floor and the all-around at the Wine Country Classic. At the State Championships, Kaitlin won vault, floor and the all-around.

Kaitlin competed level eight in 2006. She finished second all-around at the San Diego Classic. She finished in the top twenty at Regionals. Kaitlin continued competing level eight in 2007. She won vault and beam at the Golden State Classic. She won vault, floor and the all-around at the Gold Country Classic. Kaitlin finished second all-around at the Byers Invitational. She won vault, bars, beam and the all-around at the State Championships. She also won the all-around title at Regionals.

She began competing level nine in 2008. She won beam and the all-around at the Wine Country Classic. Kaitlin won beam, floor and the all-around at the Battle in Seattle. She won beam at the Golden State Classic. At the State Championships, Kaitlin won beam and floor. She finished second all-around. At Regionals, Kaitlin finished fourth all-around. She won beam at Westerns! Kaitlin also placed sixth on floor and 23rd all-around. In 2009, Kaitlin won floor and the all-around at the Lady Luck Invitational. She won beam and the all-around at the San Diego Classic. Kaitlin won all five gold medals at the Spirit of the Flame Challenge and Valentine Invitational. She won vault, bars, beam and the all-around at the Golden State Classic. At the State Championships, she finished second all-around. Kaitlin won beam and the all-around at Regionals. At Westerns, she placed first on beam, floor and the all-around! She finished second on vault and bars. She missed the 2010 season due to injury.
