Samantha Theresa Doucette was born on February 6, 1995 to Theresa and Dean Doucette. She has one brother and one sister. Her sister, Melissa, is also a gymnast. Sam will graduate from high school in 2013. Sam trains at Atlantic Gymnastics Training Center. She has trained there her whole career. Sam currently competes as a level nine.

In 2003, Sam competed as a level seven. She won the State all-around title! She moved up to level eight in 2004. Sam qualified to the Regional Championships. In the fall, she qualified to the National TOPs "B" Team. She continued competing as a level eight in 2005. She made it to Regionals again. Sam made the "B" Team again in 2005.

Her final year as a level eight was in 2006. She won the State All-Around Title! She scored a 37 at Regionals! In 2007, Sam began competing as a level nine. She started her season with a fourth place all-around at the I Love NY Cup. At the American Flyers Cup, she finished third all-around! She qualified for Easterns. In 2009, she repeated level nine. She finished second on bars and beam at the Classic for the Cure. At the Eastern Championships, she finished sixth all-around. She won five gold medals at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won the all-around and floor titles. She placed second on vault and bars. She placed fifth on vault and floor. In 2010, she finished fourth all-around at the Brestyan Invitational. She won bars and the all-around at the Team Challenge.
