Hanna Duncan was born on April 7, 1996. She trained at Salto Gymnastics until the summer of 2005. She then switched to M&M Gymnastics.
In 2004, she competed as a level five. She continued competing as a level five in 2005. She finished third on bars at the Salto Invitational. She moved up to level six for the fall season. Hanna finished second all-around at the Swiss Cup. In the spring of 2006, she competed as a level seven. Hanna finished third all-around at the Salto Invitational.
Hanna moved up to level eight in 2007. She won the all-around at the Midwest Challenge. Hannah also won vault. She finished first on vault at the IGI Chicago Style. She won a silver medal in the all-around. At the Circle of Stars Invitational, she finished third on vault and bars. She competed at States and Regionals.
In 2008, Hanna has qualified to hopes pre-elite. She also has competed as a level nine at some invitationals. She placed second on vault at the Midwest Open. In May, she competed at the US Challenge. In 2009, she moved up to level ten. She finished third all-around at the Midwest Challenge. She placed second on vault and beam. At the end of February, she competed at the Palm Beach Invitational. At States, she placed fourth on vault and third on floor. She competed at Regionals.
