On December 10, 1987, Lauren Dyson was born. She is the daughter of Don and Janet Dyson. She trained at Airborne Gymnastics during her club career.
Lauren had a broken leg in 2003. In 2004, she competed as a level nine. She won the State all-around title. She also won bars. Lauren won a silver on floor and a bronze on beam. At Regionals, she finished fourth all-around. She won bars. Her final meet was Westerns. She finished first on bars and ninth all-around. Lauren did not compete all-around in 2005 because of a knee injury. In 2006, Lauren returned to compete as a level ten. She finished fourth all-around at States. She finished second on bars. At Regionals, Lauren placed eighth all-around.
In the fall of 2006, she began attending Sacramento State University. As a freshman, she was in the lineup on bars in all fourteen meets. She competed twice on beam and once on floor. She appeared in the lineup all thirteen meets as a sophomore. During her junior season, she competed on bars.
