Kaylan Earls was born on September 17, 1992. She trained at Beverly Gymnastics Center in 2002. In 2005 and 2006, she competed for Chicago Gymnastics Center. Kaylan moved to Arena Gymnastics for the 2007 season.
In 2002, she competed as a level eight. Kaylan finished third all-around at the State Championships. She was first on beam. By 2005, she was competing as a level ten. After a disastrous State meet, she finished eighth all-around at Regionals. This qualified her for the JO National Championships. Kaylan placed in the top twenty-five!
She continued competing as a level ten in 2006. She finished second all-around at the Circle of Stars Invitational. Unfortunately, Kaylan was two spots short to qualify for the JO National Championships.
Kaylan had a great 2007 season! She finished third all-around at the Circle of Stars Invitational and second all-around at the Twistars Invitational. Kaylan also placed second all-around at the US Coaches Cup. At the State Championships, she won a silver medal on beam. At Regionals, Kaylan finished second all-around. She won bars and beam. At JO Nationals, she finished tenth all-around.
In 2008, Kaylan continued competing level ten. At the Twistars Invitational she won everything except for vault. She won the all-around title at States. She also won bars, beam and floor. Kaylan continued winning at Regionals. She won vault, beam and the all-around title. She finished third on bars. At JO Nationals, she won the all-around title! She also won vault. She finished second on bars and third on floor. By placing in the top four, she made the JO National Team. She has made an early commit to Georgia.
She has continued to produce great results in 2009. She started her season by winning the Twistars Invitational on beam, floor and the all-around. She finished second all-around and first on beam at the Bravo Classic. Kaylan won every event except for beam and the all-around. at the Gasparilla Classic. She finished second all-around at the Harley Invitational after winning vault. She won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the Arena Classic. She won vault and the all-around at Regionals. At JO Nationals, she won her second all-around title in a row! She also won bars and tied for first on beam. She finished fourth on vault and second on floor.
