Emily Bird was born on May 26, 2010. She trains at Gymnastics and More in South Carolina. She will graduate from high school in 2028.

Emily began competing as xcel bronze in 2017. She finished third all-around at the State Championships. She again placed third all-around at the State Championships as an xcel silver in 2018 and xcel gold in 2019. She transitioned to level six in 2010. As a level seven in 2021, she finished in the top ten at the State Championships. Emily finished first on bars and third all-around at the 2022 State Championships as a level eight. She competed at Regionals.

Emily moved up to level nine for the 2023 season. She placed second all-around at the Teddy Bear Tumble meet. She won the all-around at the New Orleans Jazz Invitational. She finished second at the Made in the USA meet and third all-around at the National Cup meet. At the State Championships, she placed first on vault, first on bars and second all-around. She finished in the top twenty at Regionals. In 2024, Emily won bars and the all-around at the Palmetto Patriots Classic. She finished first on bars at the Charleston Cup and KPAC Cup. She placed first on bars and floor at the State Championships. She finished sixth all-around at Regionals. At Easterns, she placed second on vault, second on bars and sixth all-around.
