Kelsie Eckdahl was born on November 6, 1992. She trained at Twin City Twisters during her club career. She graduated from high school in 2011.
In 2005, Kelsie competed level five. She steadily moved through the levels, reaching level eight in 2008. She finished third on floor and eleventh all-around at Regionals. She began competing level nine in 2009. She competed on vault at the Rising Stars Invitational. In 2010, she finished fourth all-around at the Winter Challenge. She finished in the top ten all-around at the IGI Chicago Style. She competed on three events at the State Championships.
Kelsie concluded her club career in 2011. She finished third all-around at the Sand Dollar Invitational. At the IGI Chicago Style, she placed fifth all-around. Kelsie finished second all-around at the Northern Lights Classic. At the Rising Stars Invitational, she finished third all-around. She won beam and placed third on floor at the State Championships. She finished third on beam at Regionals.
