Emily Howe was born on January 19, 1997. She has an older sister, Jessica, who is also a gymnast. She began training at University of Gymnastics. She followed her coach Tatiana Schegolkova to Eagle Wings. After the 2009 season, Emily moved to WOGA. She will graduate from high school in 2015.
In 2006, Emily competed level five. She won beam and floor at the Go For It Classic where she also placed second all-around. She moved up to level six in the fall. In 2007, Emily competed level seven. She finished second on bars, beam and in the all-around at the Sand Dollar Invitational. At the Texas Elite State Qualifier, she scored a perfect ten on balance beam! She also won floor and the all-around. At the Rose City Classic, she won beam and floor. In 2008, Emily competed level eight. She finished second all-around at the AOGC Invitational. At States, she won floor. Emily ended her season by placing seventh all-around at Regionals.
Emily continued competing level eight in 2009. She won vault, bars, beam and the all-around at the Texas Prime Meet. At the WOGA Classic, she won vault. Emily won bars, beam and the all-around at the Metroplex Challenge. She won vault, beam and the all-around at the California Classic. At the Rose City Classic, she won beam and floor. Emily placed third all-around at States. Emily ended her season by winning the all-around title at Regionals. She finished second on bars and floor.
In 2010, Emily moved up to level nine. She swept the gold medals at the Metroplex Challenge. At the WOGA Classic, she placed second all-around. She won vault and the all-around at the Pikes Peak Cup. At the Houston National Invitational, she won vault and floor. Emily won the all-around, beam and floor at States. At Regionals, Emily won vault, bars, beam and the all-around. She ended her season at Westerns, winning bars and placing sixth all-around.
