Erin Lash was born on July 3, 1997. Her older sister, Jenny, is also a gymnast. Erin trained at Diamond Gymnastics through the 2007 season. She then moved to First State Gymnastics. She will graduate from high school in 2015.

In 2007, Erin competed level six. She moved up to level seven in 2008. She competed at the Friendship Classic and Team Challenge. She finished fourth all-around and second on bars at the State Championships. In 2009, Erin competed level eight. She finished third on beam at the Christmas on the Chesapeake meet. She finished tenth all-around at the Maryland Classic. In 2010, Erin finished third on bars and floor at the Star Struck Invitational. She won floor at the East Coast Classic. Erin placed third on beam at the Excalibur Cup. She won bars at the Capital Cup. At Regionals, she competed on uneven bars only.
