Emily McClelland was born on May 13, 1994. She trains at Beaumont Gymnastics Academy in Texas. She will graduate from high school in 2012.

In 2006, Emily competed level eight. She placed second on vault at the National Judges Cup. She continued competing level eight in 2007. Emily moved up to level nine in 2008. She finished fifth on vault at the State Championships. In 2010, Emily finished third all-around at the Ricky Deci Invitational. She finished third all-around at Regionals. She placed second on vault. At Westerns, Emily placed third on vault and tenth all-around.

Emily finished first on vault, floor and the all-around at the 2011 Svetlana Invitational. She finished second on vault at the Houston National Invitational. At the State Championships, she placed second on vault, floor and the all-around. Emily won vault at Regionals. At Westerns, she placed third on vault.
