Vanessa Emery was born on October 1, 1995. She trained at Berks East through the 2007 season. She then moved to Silvia's Gymnastics. She will graduate from high school in 2014.
In 2005, Vanessa competed level five. She finished fourth on bars at the State Championships. She moved up to level six in 2006. She won floor and the all-around at the State Championships. In 2007, Vanessa competed level eight. She won vault and bars at the Dutch Classic. Vanessa moved up to level nine in 2008. She placed in the top ten at the State Championships. She qualified for Regionals. In 2009, Vanessa won bars at the Maryland Classic. She placed second all-around at the Silvia Invitational. At the State Championships, she placed third on floor. Vanessa finished fifth all-around at Regionals. She competed at Easterns.
Vanessa began competing level ten in 2010. She finished third on bars at the Silvia Invitational. She placed third all-around at the Pink Invitational. At the State Championships, she won the all-around title. In 2011, Vanessa placed third all-around at the Pink Invitational. She placed third on beam at the State Championships. She competed on beam at Regionals.
