Emily Milliet was born on January 15, 1998. She has two sisters that also participate in gymnastics, Nicole and Abigail. Nicole competed as a level nine in 2007 and Abby is currently an elite. Emily trained at Nations Gymnastics in 2004. She briefly trained at Zenith Elite in 2005 and then moved to US Gold-Excite. Emily followed her coaches to Denton in 2007.
In 2005, Emily competed level five. She placed second all-around at a District Qualifier. She competed at the State Championships. She moved up to level six in 2006. She won vault at the State Championships. She placed third on bars. In 2007, Emily competed level seven. She placed second on vault at the WOGA Classic. In the fall, she made the National TOPs Team.
Emily moved up to level eight in 2008. She placed third on bars at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished third all-around. Emily qualified to the US Challenge as a hopes elite. She also made the TOPs National Team. In 2009, Emily competed level nine. She qualified for Regionals. She also competed at the US Challenge as a hopes elite. She made her third National TOPs Team. In 2010, Emily reached level ten. She finished fourth all-around at a State Qualifier. At the State Championships, she placed tenth. She competed at Regionals.
