Peyton Ernst was born on January 27, 1997. She has three sisters, Bailey, Madison and Reily, who are also gymnasts. Peyton began her competitive career at Bengals Gymnastics as a level two in 2003. She then trained at Elite Gymnastics until December of 2009. Peyton now trains at Texas Dreams Gymnastics.
In 2006, Peyton competed level six. She won bars at the Charleston Cup. She also placed second all-around. She moved up to level seven in 2007. At the National Judges Cup, Peyton won vault, bars, beam and the all-around. She also won bars and the all-around at the Houston National Invitational. In 2008, Peyton competed level eight. She won vault, bars, beam and the all-around at the Purple & Gold Meet and Le Bon Temps. At the State Championships, Peyton swept the gold medals. She ended her season at Regionals, winning bars, beam, floor and the all-around.
After one level nine meet, Peyton began competing level ten in 2009. She finished second all-around at the Metroplex Challenge. She won beam and placed second all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won bars and the all-around. Peyton placed second on vault, beam and floor. She next competed at JO Nationals, placing in the top twenty. She finished fifth on uneven bars.
