Elizabeth Stover was born on August 12, 1996. Her twin sister, Lindsey, is also a gymnast. They both trained at Cahoy's Gymnastics in Nebraska through the 2007 season. They then moved to Auburn Gymnastics Center in Washington. Elizabeth will graduate from high school in 2015.

In 2007, Elizabeth competed level eight. She qualified to Regionals. Elizabeth continued competing level eight in 2008. She won floor and the all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed third on beam and fourth all-around. She moved up to level nine in 2009. She won vault at the Crystal Cup. Elizabeth won vault and placed third on beam at the Byers Invitational. At the State Championships, she won vault. She won beam and placed second all-around at Regionals. At Westerns, she finished fourth on vault and sixth all-around.

Elizabeth began competing level ten in 2010. She finished fourth all-around at the National Judges Cup. She finished third at the All American Invitational. At the Emerald Team Challenge, Elizabeth won vault and placed second all-around. She finished third all-around at Regionals. Elizabeth ended her season at JO Nationals.
