Abigail Fennell was born on October 27, 1994. Her brother Caleb also competed in gymnastics. Abigail has trained at WOGA her whole competitive career.
Abigail began competing in 2001 as a level four. She qualified for the State Championships. She moved up to level five in 2002. She finished third on beam at the State Championships in division II. Abigail competed level six in 2004. She won vault at the Judges Cup. At the District Championships, she won vault and placed third all-around. She qualified for the Level 6 State Championships at the North State Meet. Abigail won the all-around and vault! She competed level six at the 2005 Excalibur Cup, winning bars, beam and the all-around.
In 2006, she competed level eight. She was not able to compete bars most of the season. She returned to full strength in 2007, immediately winning floor and the all-around at the Maryland Classic. At the AOGC Invitational, she won silver medals on beam and floor. Abigail won floor, vault and the all-around at the Riverwalk Meet. She placed second all-around at the Rose City Classic. At States, she won a bronze medal in the all-around. She ended her season winning bars at Regionals.
She moved up to level nine in 2008. She finished third on vault at the WOGA Classic and Houston National Invitational. At States, she qualified for Regionals where she placed in the top ten. Abigail ended her season by placing in the top ten on vault at Westerns. She missed the 2009 season due to injury. Abigail returned in 2010 as a level ten. She competed on beam at the Texas Prime meet, WOGA Classic, Pikes Peak Cup and Houston National Invitational. In 2011, Abigail continued to compete on beam in several top invitationals.
