Emma Fitzgerald was born on November 5, 1996. She trained at Emerald City until the end of 2003. She then moved to Gymnastics East, where she currently trains today.
In 2003, Emma began competing as a level four. She finished second all-around at the Goblin Cup. She won bars and beam. Emma continued competing level four in 2004. She placed third on floor at the Mystery Classic. At the State Championships, she won vault, floor and the all-around. Emma moved up to level five in 2005. she finished second all-around at the Pajama Classic. At the Fall State Championships, Emma competed level six. She won beam, floor and the all-around. In the spring of 2006, Emma competed at the Blooms and Blossoms meet. She placed third all-around.
Emma entered level seven in 2007. She won vault at the Blooms and Blossoms meet. At the State Championships, she won a silver medal on vault. She advanced to level eight in 2008. She placed second all-around and second on vault at the Metroplex Challenge. At the Seattle Open, she earned a bronze medal in the all-around. She finished second all-around at the Battle in Seattle. Emma placed in the top ten at States, making Regionals where she placed eighth all-around. She moved up to level nine for the 2009 season. She finished third on beam at the Gymnastics in Paradise meet. At the State Championships, she placed in the top ten. Emma won a bronze medal in the all-around at Regionals. She won vault. She ended her season at Westerns.
She continued competing level nine in 2010. She won a gold medal on vault at the Seattle Open. At the Battle in Seattle meet, she finished second on vault. Emma won a bronze medal in the all-around at the Return of the Titans meet. At the State Championships, she won a silver medal on vault. At Regionals, she finished second on bars and in the all-around. She ended her season at Westerns.
