Carolina Fluhrer was born to Kristen and Gary on May 22, 1982. She has one sister, Ashley. She graduated from Lakeside High School. Caroline trained at Cascade Elite in Washington.
Caroline won the Regional all-around title in 1994, 1997 and 1998. From 1995-1996, she was a member of the Junior National Team. Caroline was a bars finalist at the 1997 JO Nationals. In 1998, she finished fourth all-around at the JO Nationals. In 2000, she competed at the American Classic as a senior international elite.
In the fall of 2000, Caroline began attending Stanford. As a freshman, she was named to the Pac-10 All-Conference team for all-around and vault. Caroline won the vault at Pac-10s. At NCAA Nationals, she was tenth on vault. As a sophomore, she earned NACGA Academic All-America honors and Pac-10 All-Academic second team selection.
Her junior year was 2003. She earned Second-Team All-America honors on bars. She was also named to NACFC Academic All-America for the second year in a row. Caroline finished competing in 2004.
