Ashley Follett was born on December 14, 1992. She trained at Gold Cup Gymnastics in New Mexico before moving to Texas after the 2006 season. She then trained at US Gold through the 2010 season. She now trains at All American Gymnastics in Utah. Ashley will graduate from high school in 2011.

In 2005, Ashley competed level six. She won vault, bars and the all-around at the Chile Fiesta Meet. She won vault, beam and the all-around at the Kachina Invitational. In 2006, Ashley competed level seven. She finished second on bars at the Kurt Thomas Invitational. She won vault at the State Championships. She placed second all-around. She moved up to level eight in 2007. Ashley won bars at the State Qualifier. She finished in the top fifteen at both the State and Regional Championships.

Ashley continued competing level eight in 2008. She again qualified to Regionals. In 2009, she moved up to level nine. She placed second on beam at the Regional Championships. She competed at Westerns. Ashley finished third all-around at the 2010 Kurt Thomas Invitational. She placed second all-around at Regionals. She finished fifth all-around at Westerns. She competed level ten in 2011. She finished in the top ten all-around at the Lady Luck Invitational. At the Gem State Invitational, she placed second on floor. She finished fourth all-around at the Classic Rock Invitational. She finished in the top fifteen all-around at Regionals.
