Carter Forrest was born on October 24, 1997. Carter trains at Chow's Gymnastics. She will graduate from high school in 2016.

In 2007, Carter competed level five. She finished third on vault and beam at the Midwest Challenge. She moved up to level six in 2006. At the National Judges Cup, Carter placed fourth on vault and bars. She competed level seven in 2009. She placed third all-around at the Chow's Rising Stars Challenge. At the IGI Chicago Style, she finished second on bars and floor. She placed second all-around at the Northern Lights Classic. At the State Championships, Carter placed third all-around.

She moved up to level eight in 2010. She won vault, floor and the all-around at the Chow's Rising Stars Challenge. She then moved up to level nine. Carter placed third all-around at the Premier Invite. She finished second all-around at the Missouri Winter Games. At the Daytona Beach Open, she placed third on bars. She finished sixth all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, Carter placed second all-around. She finished third on vault, beam and floor. Carter ended her season at Westerns, placing in the top twenty.
