Linzi Fosburgh was born on February 7, 1986. She trained at Parkette Gymnastics until 2000. Linzi was a National TOPS Team Member in 1998. She qualified to compete at the US Challenge as a tops elite. Linzi placed sixteenth all-around. In 1999, she competed as a junior national elite at the US Challenge. She finished second overall.
In 2000, Linzi qualified to junior international elite. At the American Classic, she finished in the top ten all-around. Her next meet was the US Classic in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She finished fourteenth all-around. This qualified her for the US National Championships in St. Louis, Missouri. Linzi did well on her first day. Unfortunately, during the warmups on the second day, she suffered an injury on vault. Shortly after this competition, Linzi followed Jack Carter to Carter's Gymnastics in Arizona. Later, she retired. In 2004, she returned to compete in a few level ten invitationals. She was offered a full gymnastics scholarship to Nebraska but she declined the offer as she retired from gymnastics in May 2004. She later joined the United States Army in 2006 and is a combat medic. She was married in December 2010 to her wonderful husband, Eddie.
