Erin Freier was born on November 15, 1994. She competed for Splitz Gymnastics in 2004. She then trained at Oakland until the spring of 2009, when she moved to Gedderts' Twistars. She moved to Euro Stars in the fall of 2011. She will graduate from high school in 2012.

In 2004, Erin finished third on beam at the IGI Chicago Style as a level six. She competed level eight in 2006. She won bars and the all-around at Regionals! In 2007, Erin competed level nine. She won the Region 5 Cup. At the Motown Madness meet, she finished second all-around. She won uneven bars. Erin ended her season at Easterns, placing seventh all-around and fifth on floor. She continued competing level nine in 2008. She finished third all-around at the IGI Chicago Style. She placed second on vault. At Easterns, Erin placed second on bars and beam. She won floor and the all-around.

Erin moved up to level ten in 2009. She finished fourth all-around at the CGA Coaches Spectacular. At the For Love or Money meet, she finished second all-around. She won bars at the Wolverine Classic. At the State Championships, Erin finished third all-around. She placed third on beam and fourth all-around at Regionals. At JO Nationals, she finished eighth all-around and fifth on bars. In 2010, Erin finished fourth all-around at the San Diego Classic. She placed third at the For Love or Money meet. At the Byers Invitational, Erin won beam and placed second all-around. She finished third on bars, first on floor and fourth all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won bars and placed fourth all-around. She ended her season at JO Nationals, placing first on bars, eighth on beam and sixteenth all-around. In 2011, Erin finished first on bars, floor and the all-around at the Twistars Invitational. She placed first on bars and beam at the Tampa Bay Turners Invitational. At the UGA Classic, she won bars and floor. She placed first on bars at the IGI Chicago Style and WOGA Classic. At the State Championships, she won bars. She placed sixth all-around at Regionals. She competed at JO Nationals.
