Skylar Fuentez was born on November 11, 1999. She trained at Achievers Gymnastics Center as a level four before moving to Denton Gymnastics Academy in June 2009. She will graduate from high school in 2018.

In the fall of 2009, Skylar competed level five. She finished in the top ten at the District Qualifier and North State Championships. At the Metroplex Challenge she placed first on beam, third on bars, and sixth all-around. She competed level six in 2010, finishing first all-around at the Midsummer Night’s Dream Meet and the North State Championships. At the State Championships, she scored a 37.850 all-around and finished first on vault, and first on beam.

Skylar competed level seven in 2011. She placed first on beam at the WOGA Classic. At the State Championships, she placed third on vault, second on beam, forth on floor and third all-around with a 38.200. Skylar had a successful level 8 season in 2012, qualifying for Regionals on her first try. She completed the season with all-around scores of 36.625, 35.35, 37.6, 37.050 during the regular season and an AA score of 37.1 at Texas state championships and 37.0 at Region 3 championships. Skylar is currently training for her level 9 season.
