Daniela Fumagalli was born on February 9, 1994. She began gymnastics in California. She trained recreationally for four years in Guadalajara, Mexico. In 2004, she moved to Texas and began training under Jeff Beal at Olympic Hills Gymnastics. After the 2010 season, Daniela moved to Aerial Athletics in San Antonio. She will graduate from high school in 2012.
In 2005, Daniela competed level seven. She qualified for the State Championships in the gold division. She moved up to level six in 2006. Daniela won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the IGI Chicago Style. At States, she finished second on vault, beam and in the all-around. She qualified to hopes elite and competed at the US Challenge.
Daniela moved up to level ten in 2007. She finished third on bars and floor at the Statewide Qualifier. She continued working on new skills to advance to elite through 2007 and 2008. At the 2008 Rose City Classic, she finished fourth all-around. Daniela competed at the US Challenge as a junior pre-elite in May. She placed third overall. She also finished second on vault and third on floor. Daniela was training for international elite before a fractured spine kept her out of the gym for four months.
After limited training she returned to finish fourth all-around at the Alamo Classic as a level ten. She won floor at the Rose City Classic. Daniela had a rough State Championships but still managed to qualify for Regionals. She had a great meet, winning floor and finishing fourth all-around. She ended her season at JO Nationals. In 2010, Daniela finished in the top ten at the Texas Prime. She placed in the top fifteen at the State CHampionships. She competed at Regionals. In 2011, Daniela finished in the top ten at the Metroplex Challenge. She won bars and floor at the Alamo Classic. At the State Championships, she placed fourth all-around. She finished in the top fifteen at Regionals.
