Alyssa Gale was born on September 4, 1992. Her sister, Carinne, is also a pre-elite gymnast. Both of them train at Monarch's Gymnastics.

In 2004, she competed as a level eight. She moved up to level nine in 2005. Alyssa won the California Classic! She finished sixth all-around at States. She repeated level nine in 2006. She won the Hoedown at Woodward West. At States, Alyssa won vault and finished fourth all-around. She won vault at Regionals. She also finished sixth all-around. Her final meet of the season was Westerns.

Alyssa moved up to level ten in 2007. She finished third all-around at the AOGC Invitational and fourth all-around at the Golden State Friendship Challenge. Alyssa did not compete all-around at States. She petitioned to Regionals. Alyssa finished third on vault. After the level ten season, she qualified to junior pre-elite. Alyssa won vault at the US Challenge. Alyssa solely competed level ten in 2008. She won vault at Regionals. In 2009, she won the all-around, vault and floor at the Lady Luck Invitational. She finished second on bars. At the San Diego Classic, she won vault, bars and the all-around. She finished third all-around at the Malibu Coast Challenge. Her meet was highlighted with a first place finish on floor. Alyssa has committed to Utah.
