Taylor Gantz was born on June 17, 1994. She trained at Naydenov Gymnastics through the 2007 season. After moving to Ohio, she trained at Cincinnati Gymnastics Academy in 2008 and 2009. She began training at Multnomah Athletic Club for the 2011 season after returning to the Northwest. Taylor will graduate from high school in 2012.
In 2003, Taylor competed level six. She finished first on floor at the Rainier Cup. Taylor moved up to level seven in 2004. She placed fourth on floor at the San Diego Classic. Taylor competed level eight in 2005. She finished second on beam at the Cancun Classic. She placed second on beam at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished third on floor. Taylor began competing level nine in 2006. She finished second on floor at the All American Invitational. She placed third on floor at the Hard Rock invitational. Taylor won vault at the Emerald Team Challenge. She placed second on bars and third on floor at Regionals. In 2007, Taylor finished first on floor at the Lady Luck Invitational. She placed second on floor at the Emerald Team Challenge. Taylor won bars, beam and the all-around at Regionals. At Westerns, she finished 14th all-around.
Taylor continued competing level nine in 2008. She won floor and the all-around at the CGA Coaches Spectacular. She placed second on floor at Easterns. Taylor competed on beam at the 2009 Charleston Cup. She did not compete in 2010. Taylor only competed on uneven bars in 2011. She finished fourth on bars at the World Cup Invitational.
