Kristine Garbarino was born on September 14, 1989. She trains at World Class Gymnastics in New York. She has recieved a full scholarship to Western Michigan.
In 2001, Kristine competed as a level eight. She finished fourth all-around at the I Love NY Cup. She competed at Regionals. She moved up to level nine in 2002. She qualified to Easterns. Kristine reached level ten in 2003. She competed at the JO National Championships. She made JO Nationals again in 2004. In 2005, she finished third all-around at the Parkette Invite. She competed at her third JO Nationals.
In 2006, she won the Hard Rock Invitational. At States, she won beam, floor and the all-around title. Kristine finished third on beam and fourth on floor at JO Nationals. She won bars at the Empire State Games. Her senior year was in 2007. Kristine finished first all-around at States.
As a freshman at Western Michigan, she was named Freshman of the Year. She received NACGC All-Academic team honors. She competed in the last eight meets of the season after missing the first five because of an injury. She won bars against Bowling Green. She also competed on vault. As a sophomore in 2009, she qualified for NCAA Regionals as an individual. She placed in the top six on floor and in the all-around at the MAC Championships.
