Natelle Angelina Gentile was born on February 17, 1993. She is the daughter of Virgil and Sharon. Her sister, Skye, is also a gymnast. She began gymnastics for Cal Elite Gymnastics. Natelle trained at Wildfire Gymnastics in Tustin, California from 2005 to shortly after 2009 JO Nationals. She now trains at Team OC Gymnastics in Costa Mesa.

In 2000, Natelle began competing as a level five for California Elite Gymnastics. She qualified to the State Championships. Natelle moved up to level six in 2001. By 2003, she was competing as a level seven. She finished first on beam at the Lady Luck Invite. During the 2003 season, Natelle moved up to level eight. She qualified to the Regional Championships, where she placed fourth on vault.

Natelle repeated level eight in 2004. She had success in invitationals such as the California Classic and Flips USA Invite. Natelle shined at the Southern California Level 8 State Championships. She won the vault and floor titles. To go along with these two golds, Natelle took home the all-around bronze. Her final meet of the season was the level eight regional championships. Natelle took home the gold on vault and the bronze in the all-around.

Natelle switched to Wildfire Gymnastics in time for the 2005 season. She began competing as a level nine. Natelle won several all-around titles including LA Classic, Surf City Classic, Gymfest and the Pacific Classic. At the State Championships, she won beam, floor and the all-around title. Her next meet was Regionals. She finished first on beam, floor and in the all-around once again. Her final meet of the season was Western Championships. Natelle finished third all-around in a highly talented field. She took home the silver on vault and floor.

In 2006, Natelle began competing as a level ten, the highest level in the junior olympic program. She took home several all-around titles such as the Long Beach Open, Spiral Invite and the HITS Invite in Hawaii. With several seasoned level ten competitors including competing at the State Championships, Natelle had to have a great meet to place well. She took home the silver in the all-around to the 2005 Junior Olympic National Champion, Mattie Larson. Her next meet was Regionals. After a discrepancy regarding Natelle's bar routine, she ended the meet in fifth place all-around. On a higher note, Natelle won floor. Her final level ten meet of the season would be the JO National Championships. Despite it being her first nationals, Natelle placed very high. She finished sixth all-around.

She opened 2007 with a first place finish on beam and in the all-around at the Hall of Fame meet. She won vault, beam and floor at the Jazz Invite. She finished third all-around at both the Long Beach Open and California Classic. She won the vault, floor and all-around titles at the Top Flight Invite. At the California State Championships, Natelle won beam and the all-around. She finished second on vault and the all-around at Regionals. She ended her season with a second place finish at JO Nationals. She earned a spot on the JO National Team! She missed the 2008 season because of an injury.

Natelle returned in 2009 to win vault, bars, floor and the all-around at the Cancun Classic. She won vault at the Surf City Classic. At the Long Beach Open, she won vault, beam and the all-around. She finished second all-around at the Glider's Invitational. Natelle won vault, bars, beam and the all-around at the State meet. At Regionals, she won bars and beam. She finished second all-around. She injured herself during training at JO Nationals so she did not compete on vault. Natelle committed to Arizona State University in the fall. She will begin college in the fall of 2011.
