Rebekah Gher was born on August 10, 1991. She trained at Flames Gymnastics Academy until the summer of 2005. She then moved to Carter's Gymnastics Academy. Rebekah moved to Oasis after the 2006 season. She graduated from high school in 2010.

In 2001, Rebekah competed level six. She moved up to level seven in 2002. In 2003, she competed level eight. She moved up to level nine in 2004. She won vault at the Sweetheart Invitational. She won the all-around title at the Winter Sun Invitational. At the Shamrock Invitational, she placed third all-around. Rebekah won vault and the all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won vault. She finished third all-around. At Westerns, she placed seventh on floor. She finished 31st all-around.

Rebekah began competing level ten in 2005. She swept the gold medals at the Surf City Classic. She finished second all-around at the California Classic. At the State Championships, she won vault and placed second all-around. Rebekah finished third on bars and ninth all-around at Regionals. In 2006, she finished third all-around at the Kurt Thomas Invitational. At the California Classic, she placed third all-around. Rebekah won bars and beam at the State Championships. She placed second all-around. At Regionals, she finished second on bars and ninth all-around. Rebekah did not compete in 2007.

She returned in 2008 to win floor and the all-around at the Winter Sun Invitational. At the Fiesta Bowl Invitational, she won vault, beam, floor and the all-around. Rebekah placed second at the California Classic. At the Cactus Cup, she finished second all-around. She swept the gold medals at the State Championships. At Regionals, Rebekah placed tenth all-around. She finished third on beam. In 2009, she finished second all-around at the Surf City Classic. She placed third at the Jessica Kleya Memorial Invitational. At the State Championships, she won beam and placed second all-around. Rebekah finished eighth all-around at Regionals. She ended her season at JO Nationals, placing 27th all-around. She finished fourth on beam. Rebekah did not compete for most of the 2010 season. She returned at the State Championships on three events, winning beam and floor. At Regionals, she finished third on vault and seventh all-around. Rebekah ended her club career at JO Nationals, placing tenth on beam.

As a freshman at Boise State, she competed on balance beam thirteen times. She had two performances on uneven bars and one on vault. Rebekah qualified to the NCAA National Championships after winning beam at Regionals.
